Gig confirmed!
Another gig will be added to the list soon.
This one is already confirmed, but I am waiting for details, so, keep your eye on the Gigs-section.
Just tonight I did the gig at VU Amsterdam.
It was very crowded, noisy and warm.
Hard to drag the attentention. Musicians are considered sidekicks there.
No hard feelings though, I had a good time, for sure.
People were friendly and there were a few people actually listening.
So, thank you!

Well, what about pleasant surprises?
Talententuin will surely be one of those lifetime happy memories.
What a hospitality and nice people!
It’s the first time ever I felt like being on a holiday while in real life it was all about gigging… Great!

August 26, 2007 Two down…, next?
Last Thursday I played the long awaited Paradiso-gig.
Great experience to be on that particular stage!
It was a real pleasure and something to remember.Today it was back to innocence, though De Badcuyp was good fun too.
Very nice people and I hope to play this venue every once in a while.
Thank you all for your kind words and support.
Next on the list is Talentuin.
I expect it to be another special gig.

July 21, 2007 Recorded some material last Monday, just to get a feel.
A matter of trial and error… Found out that I really need better recordingequipment, ha!Last night I played my fingers to the bone at ABC Treehut, at the Harry Potter launchparty.
This was a totally new experience for me. The custumers came in while I played for 5 quarters.
Just did some impro and instrumental tunes. Had good fun, though.
Later I played while the people were queued up, standing in line and waiting for their copy of the new HP.
I also guided them with some music to their way out.
Nice and friendly atmosphere, dito response. Thank you for your kind words and having me over with my own little experiment.
In September I will play the ABC Treehut again, but that will be on a regular evening.
The forthcoming months I will continue working on new material and recording.
Also things some bandchanges are due.
And I’m full of ideas about a new website…
I’ll keep you updated!
July 16, 2007 Today (this afternoon) I’m in rehearsal.

July 9, 2007 Finally I was able to play another gig.
Last Saturday (070707) it was not much of a crowd at Speakers, Delft. Nevertheless it was a pleasure to play this venue.
The people that showed up listened and enjoyed the performance of me and other artists.
They must have felt like it’s no use watching the poluting telly while you can hop on your bike and experience the real live and acoustic vibes just around the corner (as a matter of speaking).So, thank you all for being there with me!

This time it was at Open Haven Podium, Amsterdam.Things are starting to ease up a little now, so I am focussing on July 7: the gig at Speakers, Delft.
This one I will not miss, for sure!

Due to private matters I had to cancel and postpone those gigs. I am very sorry.

For the first time the interview turned out to be quite something else: something real.

Believe me, I was there with you, but you did not see me, did ya?It has been a very strange and busy period of my life, these past two months.
Anyway, I played a few gigs and even some new gigs are planned.
Finally I back online again to update this site and the related sites. I am back on track and this site will be frequently updated, just like before.

April 25, 2007 Had such good fun at Boomspijker, Amsterdam.
All kinds of acts presented their skills and it was great to watch all those people doing their very best.
I was the final act this evening. A very enthousiastic audience on a special evening. Thank you!Looking forward to tomorrow’s gig at Amsterdam FM.
April 14, 2007 The CREA stage was one of a kind. A various range of artists showed up. Although I was a bit unhappy about the sound on stage (no monitors), I think it was a good show. Well… several people told me, so, I like to stick to their opinion, ha!It looks like I will do some shows in the UK this summer. More info about this issue coming up soon.
Also the the idea of recording of new material as well as older songs, is on my mind lately, so I think it’s just a matter of time before hitting the REC-button…!
April 6, 2007 Good to be back at HPC after playing there two times before with the rare.
This time the solo-bit and it was all about having fun and playing my fingers to the bone.
Played for almost an hour and with great pleasure. Thank you once again.

March 15, 2007 Although I was a little afraid of beeing at the wrong time at the wrong place, it turned out to be a very special evening at ‘Skek. Nice people, friendly atmosphere. It wasn’t crowded at all, but the ambiance was great. It’s a good thing to know that the owner wants me to play there once again in the near future.
So, who said to expext the unexpexted? Right! Thank you.
March 9, 2007 Had good fun at Polanentheater and Winston as well. Two different shows: Polanentheater was quite crowded, and Winston was quite empty.
Due to a technical problems the sound at Polanentheater was a bit poor, but it was great at Winston. The audienceresponse was very kind on both nights.
Expect the unexpected… Now heading forward to ‘Skek on March 11.
March 6, 2007 I had to cancel the gig at Dichterscafé on March 25 again. Unfortunately I had to cancel the same venue in November last year…

March 4, 2007 Quite an unusual experience at Podium Dichtbij. Totally acoustic and just a few people around. A very intimate and friendly atmosphere. Great response and probably ‘earned’ another gig as well.
This is why playing all kinds of venues is good fun: you just can’t tell what to expect and it’s amazing how things just work out fine time after time.

Although this venue is not used to have singer/songwriters (and I was the only one…), it wasn’t that hard to get the attention. Nice people and again well organised.

January 26, 2007 And what a great experience at Schouwburg Amstelveen it was! It’s almost impossible to describe, but believe me: it was really, really great. Well organised, very kind people, enthousiastic audience, good sound and lights, relaxed atmosphere, etc, etc. I enjoyed every minute of it, also because of the other artists:it was an evening of quality.But there’s so little time to hang on to the moment: this Tuesday it’s showtime in Leiden. December 2, 2006 Unfortunately I did not win the finals of ‘Hou Je Kop Luisterpop’. But it was close, very close. At the other hand: everybody could have won, I guess. It was again a very special evening. Good music, a crowded place, nice people and well organised. I’m pretty sure it will affect the gigs-list in a positive way. Thank you all!It is with great regret that I have to announce another cancellation. The gig for tomorrow at Musicon has been cancelled by the organisation. They made some mistakes booking… Well, I am not happy about this, but it’s something I just have to deal with.
I’m now looking forward to the gig this Thursday in Dordrecht. Hope to see you there.
Something else: I added a link to a political site (Links-section). This is all about stopping childlabour and slavery in general (trafficking). I think it’s good to at least try to do something about this. In the future I will add some links to some charity-sites too. All for the same reason: it is about being aware of the world we live in. The real world, I’m afraid…

July 14, 2006 “…What the hell am I doing here?”!
And sometimes you just ask yourself and wonder why you took the train for another gig.
This time it was at Coffeeshop Doorspalace, Amsterdam.
Had a good trip… The audience listened, I think, in fact they were silent. During and between songs. I played about 40 minutes. Did a lot of covers. Had fun looking at stoned people. But this was not my place to be. Mixed emotions. Nice people, but what was the point of playing here? Did they care, did it matter? I will never know. Still I had a good time. Just playing along. No plugs, no amps or p.a., just the voice, the guitar, the room. At the end received some response. They did like it. If I wanted I was free to play along till midnight. But I had to catch a train…So, here it is, the end of the season. Things to forget, things to remember, things to do. See you in September. Thank you!

Some things I’ll never forget: a crowded Podiumcafé singing along while I played Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire. What fun that was! Really enjoyed this special evening. Nice vibes, nice people, relaxed host (Paul Hunt) and the Gipsy-Blues Quintet! Thank you!The season is coming to an end. Join me this Thursday (July 13 at Coffeeshop the Doors in Amsterdam) before hitting the beach or whatever you’re plans are this summer.

Received the Atos Radio-recording a while ago. Finally copied the songs to my pc. After a few minor edits I will put them online.
And I’m still working on new ideas. As soon as I can plan some time, I will record them and keep you all posted.
But as always: time is not one of my closest friends, so…. patience please! :-)
